Do these terms apply to you?
Yes, if you use our website. By using it, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
If you use our site on behalf of your organisation, you're agreeing to these terms for your organisation too.
Our Privacy Policy also applies. It explains how we look after your personal information.
Can you rely on what's on our site?
Our website is here to tell you about Loyston. Everything on it is general information only. It isn't professional, technical, financial or legal advice, so please don't rely on it to make decisions without getting the right advice for your situation.
We work hard to keep the site accurate and up to date, but we can't promise that everything on it is complete, current or error-free. Our plans and products are developing, so what we describe may change.
Who owns the content?
We do, or the people who license it to us. That includes the text, graphics, design, images, software and code on our site, and the Loyston name and logo. These are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws in the UK, the US and elsewhere.
What can you use it for?
You may view our site, and print or download extracts, for your own personal use or to evaluate Loyston for your organisation's internal business purposes. Please keep any copyright and trade mark notices in place.
That's a limited permission. It's personal to you (or your organisation), you can't pass it on, and we can withdraw it if you break these terms. Everything else is reserved.
What isn't allowed?
Without our written permission, please don't:
- copy, reproduce, republish or sell our content (beyond what's allowed above)
- scrape, crawl or harvest our site, or data mine it, whether by hand or with automated tools
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of our site or its software
- frame or mirror our site, or make it look as if your site is part of ours
- use our content to build, improve or benchmark a competing product or service
- use our content to train, fine-tune or test any AI or machine learning model
- get around, disable or interfere with any security feature or access control on our site
How should you use our site?
Please use it lawfully and fairly. In particular, please don't:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful
- try to gain unauthorised access to our site, servers or systems
- introduce viruses, malware or anything else harmful
- overload or disrupt the site, for example with denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests
- submit false or misleading information, or someone else's details without their permission, through our forms
- send spam or anything abusive, offensive or infringing
If you do, we may block your access to the site. Where the law requires it, we may also report it to the relevant authorities.
Do we use tracking and security tools?
Yes. Our site uses security tools to protect it from attacks, spam and abuse. With your consent, it also uses analytics tools that help us understand how the site is used. You can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how this works and the choices you have.
What happens to information you send us?
If you contact us or register interest through our website, we'll handle your details as our Privacy Policy explains.
If you join our BETA programme, we'll agree separate terms with you. If those terms and these ones ever say different things, the BETA agreement wins.
What about links to other sites?
Our site may link to other websites. We include them because they may be useful, but we don't control them and we're not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link doesn't mean we endorse a site.
What are we responsible for?
We provide our website free of charge and "as is". We'll do our best to keep it available and working, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or viruses. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time.
As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, our site or relying on its content. That includes loss of profits, revenue, business, data or goodwill, and any indirect losses.
Some things we never exclude. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
If you're in the US, some states don't allow certain warranties or types of damages to be excluded. In that case, some of these limits may not apply to you, and you may have extra rights where you live.
Can these terms change?
Yes. We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our website or the law changes. We'll always show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the updated terms will apply, so it's worth checking back now and then.
Anything else we should mention?
- If a court decides that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce one of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- These terms are between you and us. Nobody else has any right to enforce them.
Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales [PLACEHOLDER: confirm governing law and jurisdiction], and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.
If you're visiting from the US or elsewhere, you're welcome here. You're responsible for following any local laws that apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the laws of your home state or country that can't be waived by contract.
How can you contact us?
